I was recently hired to be the in house chef for Appliance World and I could not be more excited to embark on this new journey with this amazing company! So far the experience has been way beyond anything most can imagine and I am truly blessed to be able to love going into work day after day.
A little background about myself – I’m 25 years old and a recent graduate from NYU with a degree in nutrition and dietetics. Shortly after graduating I decided to take the journey through culinary school for pastry and baking because I just loved the satisfaction of baking and people enjoying my treats! Culinary school definitely paid off, and this year I was able to purchase my first house with my fiancé. It’s been a long journey through renovation but we have finally and moved and settled in!
So one would only assume I grew up loving to cook and bake but honestly my brother was more of the chef growing up, and shockingly he’s pretty good at it! – but don’t tell him I said that! With my nutrition background you can assume that I became pretty absorbed in science, which is why, baking with time came easier to me. After all baking is a science but cooking, cooking is an art!
In my journey to become a culinary specialist, I am going to master the art of cooking. As I said earlier I have been offered the amazing job opportunity one in my shoes could hope for. As an in house chef for Appliance World of Huntington, New York I certainly have my work cut out for me! There is so much to learn, so much to do but I am so beyond excited to embark on this journey with you all!
Be on the look out as I will be posting recipes I love, explaining more about cooking techniques, and all about what appliances to use and when.
As Julia child once said “This is my advice to people, learn how to cook, try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun.”
