We hosted Huntington Rotary’s Fund Raiser on October 22nd in our showroom. Peter Mazzeo entertained for over 200 guests who came out to support the event. It is my understanding that the Rotary was able to raise twice as much money as the previous year. Congratulations! Our own, Patrick Fallon, was the major organizer for the event. He really knows how to get it going!
Now let’s talk about the food. The restaurants and chefs need to be commended and thanked so much. Everything was donated. Our guest chef was Chef Barret who was a Hell’s Kitchen finalist. He was preparing some of his specialties in our Thermador kitchen. In our Gaggenau kitchen was Kashi Restaurant preparing made to order sushi. Fado Restaurant was here in our Wolf kitchen preparing an abundance of their house specialties as well as donating all the wine. Reds Restaurant was cooking up a storm in our Electrolux kitchen and Old Fields was here in our Dacor kitchen preparing their house specialties. Old Fields decorated the kitchen with an autumn theme and even raffled off a huge pumpkin weighing in close to 100 lbs. They even delivered it to the lucky winner. Talk about service! Portofino donated such delicious dishes that everyone kept coming back for seconds. Mandarin Gourmet and Fiorello Dolce completed the list.
Least we forget the wonderful raffle prizes that were so generously donated. A huge thank you goes to all those wonderful local businesses. It is always so much fun to see the excitement as those raffle numbers are called and the happy winners taking home their treasures. All for a great cause!
